Calvin studied Mechanical Engineering at Memorial University before joining the BOTS Lab where he developed an indoor marine swarm robotics research platform called the microUSV. His current research is investigating the use of swarm robotics methods as a means of marine environmental monitoring and cleanup. His interests include tabletop games, building (and breaking) robots of any kind, and the proper use of tools.
